Londres, 1938. Mars invente Lola, machine révolutionnaire capable d’intercepter les émissions de radio et de télévision du futur. Alors que sa sœur Thom danse sur les tubes de David Bowie, face à la menace nazie, les deux jeunes femmes décident d’utiliser leur technologie afin de déjouer les plans allemands. Sauf que manipuler le temps n’est pas sans conséquences…
