Biographie
Né le 16 février 1958 à Newark, New Jersey, sous le nom de Tracy Lauren Marrow, Ice-T est un rappeur, acteur et producteur américain, pionnier du gangsta rap. Il se fait connaître dans les années 1980 avec des albums comme Rhyme Pays (1987) et Power (1988), marqués par des textes percutants sur la vie urbaine. Son titre Cop Killer (1992) suscite la controverse pour son message provocateur. Au cinéma, il joue dans New Jack City (1991) et Ricochet (1991). À la télévision, il incarne depuis 2000 le détective Odafin Tutuola dans New York, unité spéciale, rôle qui lui vaut deux NAACP Image Awards. Fondateur du groupe Body Count, Ice-T est aussi une figure influente de la culture hip-hop, récompensé par un Grammy Award.
