Ron Howard
Biographie
Ronald William Howard (né le 1er mars 1954) est un cinéaste et acteur américain. Howard s'est fait connaître pour la première fois en tant qu'enfant acteur, jouant dans plusieurs séries télévisées, dont un épisode de The Twilight Zone. Il a attiré l'attention nationale pour jouer le jeune Opie Taylor, le fils du shérif Andy Taylor (joué par Andy Griffith) dans la sitcom The Andy Griffith Show de 1960 à 1968. Pendant ce temps, il est également apparu dans le film musical The Music Man (1962 ), un succès critique et commercial. Il a été crédité comme Ronny Howard dans ses apparitions au cinéma et à la télévision de 1959 à 1973. Howard a été choisi pour l'un des rôles principaux du film sur le passage à l'âge adulte American Graffiti (1973), qui a reçu un accueil très favorable et est devenu l'un des films les plus rentables de l'histoire. L'année suivante, Howard est devenu un nom connu pour jouer Richie Cunningham dans la sitcom Happy Days, un rôle qu'il jouerait de 1974 à 1984. Howard a continué à apparaître dans des films pendant cette période, comme le film occidental The Shootist (1976) et le film de comédie Grand Theft Auto...
(1977), qui a également marqué ses débuts en tant que réalisateur.
